Rewards

ICIG have implemented a unique rewards program for information received about companies and individuals making or supplying counterfeit ink & toner products. We understand that it can be a hard decision to contact us and to tell us what you know and we are willing to compensate you for this.

This is the way it works:

1. Click here and proceed to the Counterfeiting Reporting Form.
2. Select option 1, 2 and or 3. These provide the type of contact information you are most comfortable with, and details of the infringement.
3. Complete the relevant section(s) and press submit button at the bottom of the form.

If you have provided contact details, a representative of ICIG will contact you soon to discuss your information. Please note that your contact details will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone without your express and written authority.

Rewards are paid where the information you provide leads to an enforcement action. An enforcement action is where a statutory body, such as Police, Customs, other authorized government department or legal representatives acting on behalf of an intellectual property owner attends an address with a legal warrant to seize counterfeit goods and results in the seizure of counterfeit goods or where legal representatives acting on behalf of an intellectual property owner implements certain civil remedies to force the handover and cessation of sale of counterfeit goods by the target.

Rewards are paid within 14 days of successful service of the warrant or such civil remedy. You do not have to wait until a successful criminal conviction or civil trial takes place.

1. For a company engaged in the production & sale of completed counterfeit ink or toner supplies: US$7,500
2. For a distributor or re-seller engaged in the sale of counterfeit ink or toner supplies: US$5,000
3. For a company engaged in the printing of counterfeit packaging and labels: US$5,000
4. For a warehouse, storage facility or safe house containing counterfeit ink or toner: US$3,000

We also understand that in some cases, we may also require further assistance from you so as to qualify the information you provide and to take the necessary steps to ensure a successful enforcement action. Compensation may therefore be paid in addition to the above reward payment depending upon the circumstances. Our representative will discuss this with you.

Please note that rewards are not payable in the case of reporting a company or an individuals name alone. To qualify for a reward payment, information must be provided to ICIG and consist of physical or other factual evidence and precise information leading to a satisfactory enforcement action.

Notes:

1. ICIG has sole and absolute discretion to decide whether a reward will be awarded. Persons who provide information pursuant to this program have no right, contractual or otherwise, to payment of a reward and,
2. ICIG has no obligation to investigate or take any action whatsoever on information provided by any person seeking a reward under this program. ICIG exercises sole control over any action against an infringer based upon that information.
3. Under no circumstances will the payment of a reward be made where ICIG determines that the person providing the information has knowingly or recklessly provided false or misleading information or has failed to disclose information to ICIG which is material to the matter.
4. By virtue of the operation of the reward program, ICIG does not assume any obligation to represent, defend or indemnify any person who becomes the subject of legal action as a result of providing information to ICIG.
5. ICIG reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notification.
