March 23, 2009 -- The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property
Protection (ISC) today announced that HP has joined the Coalition effective March 1, 2009.
Allen Westerfield, president of the Coalition, said, "The members and board of directors
of the ISC are very pleased to welcome HP as a member in the Imaging Supplies Coalition.
As a leader in our industry, HP will join the other ISC's member companies as we continue
to make progress in the battle against counterfeiting and fraud in the Imaging Supplies
Industry."
"For more than a decade, HP has been investing in anti-counterfeiting practices and our
company has long been regarded as a pioneer for pursuing anti-counterfeiting in its
Aftermarket Supplies business," said Jeffrey Kwasny, manager, Anti-counterfeit Programs,
HP. "We're pleased to be joining forces with the other ISC member companies to further
this pursuit in an effort to protect our customers and partners around the globe."
The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection, Inc.
is a non-profit association of imaging supplies Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Coalition members are Brother International Corporation, Canon U.S.A., Inc, Epson America
Inc., HP, Lexmark International, Inc., Oki Data Corporation, Samsung Electronics America,
Inc., Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. and Xerox Corporation.
